Anil M. Melwani
Anil is a founding partner of Melwani & Chan LLP. He has been practicing law since 2005 primarily in the areas of trademark law, copyright law, shareholder rights, and intellectual property litigation. Prior to founding Melwani & Chan LLP, Anil worked as in-house counsel for Royal Silk Direct, Inc. and as an associate with the Manhattan law firm Lee & Kelley LLP.
Anil is licensed to practice law in New York where he was born and raised. He received his Juris Doctorate from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property Law, and his undergraduate degree from New York University in Music Technology.
Michael C. Chan
Michael is a retired partner of Melwani & Chan LLP.
He is currently General Counsel & Blockchain Software Developer for the blockchain company TributeLabs.xyz creating programamable smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.
Michael is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut. He received his Juris Doctorate from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City and his B.S. in Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Gloria Kui Melwani
Gloria Kui Melwani is a partner at Melwani & Chan LLP. Gloria has expertise in complex class actions representing clients including institutional investors such as public and labor pension funds, labor health and welfare benefit funds, and private institutional investors who suffered losses due to corporate fraud. Her practice places an emphasis on securities litigation, shareholder derivative litigation, transactional litigation, and copyright, intellectual property & public domain protection.
Gloria is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association, the Asian American Bar Association of New York, and a member of the Chamber Music Committee of the New York City Bar Association. She received her Juris Doctorate from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City and her undergraduate degree from New York University.
